IMPORTANT! In some municipalities, local municipal offices are running elections. This means that your Election Day polling location may be different from where you voted in past elections such as elections for president, governor, or senator. If you live in one of the below municipalities, please be sure to call your county elections office to confirm where you should vote. 

Polls open at 7:00am on Election Day and close at 7:00pm, so get to your voting location as soon as you can. If you are in line by 7:00pm when the polls close, stay in line! You must be allowed to vote.

To vote by mail, a voter requests a ballot by submitting an application to their local county elections office. Once the application is processed, the ballot is mailed to the voter. The voter must then complete the ballot and return it so that it is received before 7:00pm on Election Day. Click here to request your vote by mail (absentee) ballot now.

Applications are only accepted between 78 days and 11 days before an election. For example, applications for the November 7 General Election will only be accepted from Monday, August 21 until Friday, October 27. Counties will not mail out ballots until 22 days before the election.
