How Do I Register?
To vote in a standard election, you must register at least 30 days before Election Day.
Registering Online
Have a Georgia driver’s license or state ID? You may be able to register in minutes online.
Registering In Person
Walk in and register at any of these locations:
- Georgia public libraries
- DDS customer service centers
- County elections offices
- Registration drives at concerts, community events, and county events
Voter Tip: Regardless of where you sign up, confirm your registration on My Voter Page about two weeks later.
Registering By Mail
You have two options:
- Complete your application online, then print and mail it.
- Download the form, print double-sided, fill it out with a pen, and mail it in.
You’ll need a printer to print out your application and then sign it by hand (electronic signatures are not valid).
Voter Tip: Most libraries and UPS stores print for a small fee, or you can contact your county elections office to request a paper application.
JUST IN CASE
Runoff election deadlines work differently. If you’re registering for a runoff, the deadline depends on the type of race:
- State and local races (governor, mayor, state legislature, etc.): 30 days before the original election that triggered the runoff, not the runoff date itself.
- Federal races (U.S. Senate, U.S. House): 30 days before the runoff date.
