If I’m voting in a City of Atlanta municipal election (Mayor, City Council, etc.), aren’t polls open later on Election Day?
Yes, for City of Atlanta municipal elections, polls close at 8pm, not 7pm. But this is ONLY for City of Atlanta municipal elections, so if there is an office outside of the City of Atlanta on your ballot (i.e. U.S. Congress, State of Georgia Public Service Commissioner, County Commissioner), you must be in line at your polling location by 7 p.m. to vote for those candidates.
